Linda/Waves is currently working on the reading list and any updates, amendments or new recomendations should be sent to her. She is also compiling a list of the people who have said that they want the AGM library books sent to them so email her if you want to be on the list! :-) The AGM library was started some time ago (apparently by Chris43) consisting of a few books which once read by an AGMer, are sent along to others via snail mail, along with an ever-growing stack of cards and letters written by each person who reads the book, commenting on the text and greeting the future readers. Books currently known to be in the AGM library include 'Skallagrigg' and 'Microserfs', and I believe a couple of copies of each are in circulation. In addition to the small (but hopefully growing) library, AGM had a number of posts in which people recommended their favourite books and the list is reproduced below, along with the names of the AGMers who made the recommendation. Where the name has a red star next to it the person recommends anything by that author rather than simply that particular book. |
