Okay! Pay attention you lot :) I've got a response back from the proms folk
about this years proms...
Proms in the Park has yet to be confirmed - hopefully it'll go ahead (crosses
fingers)...I'll let you know as soon as I can (the guides are out in May...
ideally I'd like to know before hand...watch this space).
*If* it goes ahead, the tix will be about 8.50 UKP (thats last years price) for
it...the date of the last night is 12 September. The first night (for those
interested otherwise) is Friday 17 July. So I'll need ideas of how many folk
are interested so I can get tix booked...but like I said above, its to be
*confirmed*, so can't really do anything yet, much as I'd like :-(
Hotels and other things...anyone know anything much about this or got any
recommendations? If not, I'll get onto the tourist board with vague ideas.
My own suggestion may be to get in touch with your local travel agents (or
similar) and see what deals they can arrange for you.
I'll just snip & paste an excerpt from the email that has a little more info on
this one with regard to hotels:
1) I suggest that you contact the London Tourist Board:
- - to request an accommodation pack, please telephone 0171-932 2000
- - to make credit card hotel reservations, please telephone 0171-932 2020.

2) The Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine is situated
near to the Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park. They have very reasonable
bed and breakfast accommodation available during the Summer vacation
time. In addition, their Conference Centre offers a hotel reservation
service for a variety of hotels in the South Kensington area. For
further details, please contact:

That's it for now...I'll keep pushing about the proms in the park...I'm sure
they'd have to get the yay or nay pretty soonish. :-) If you have any questions
just email me.
*hugs*
