Well, fellow AGMers [I was about to write 'well, gang' and then thought
that, given the current topic, perhaps that might have rather negative
connotations! ;-) ]

I read now that Phil has already caught the gist of the replies, but I
couldn't resist a reply as well. :-) I, too, think that our best defense is
no offense--i.e. absolutely no replies. Unfortunately, as some of you have
pointed out, some ppl are really having trouble resisting replying (and I
must confess that I'm rather suspicious of Karl, perhaps unfairly). But
surely, eventually, they'll tire and look for new prey.

I think that if we moved to another newsgroup, it would merely be a
challenge for them to find us, and they would. I believe they know that we
wouldn't just fade away--we're too dedicated.

Gathel, you may just have talked me into spending more money! :-)

Sophie, I did appreciate your concern for me over the flame about my dad. I
suspected that that would cause some of you concern. I'm really glad that
there were no replies to that post. (at least none that I saw) I was a bit
taken aback when I read it, but I quickly considered where it came from and
just deleted it from the list--no, I assure you, it didn't cause me any
worry at all.

It's really good to see how determined all of you are that these ppl not
destroy what we have going for us. I must confess that I'm being pretty
cautious about welcoming newbies now, but I admire Spud's attitude of not
letting these jerks affect how she treats agmers--even new ones--innocent
until proven otherwise. Good for you, Sue!

And so, courage and patience to us all--we'll triumph in the end, I'm sure
of it!
